Atlanta Braves History


The Atlanta Braves have been around since 1871. Through many name changes, they first played as the Boston Red Caps in the first game in the history of the National League. They have been based in Atlanta, Georgia since 1966. Hank Aaron is a legendary player for the Braves having the most Runs Batted In (RBIs), he also is the Braves runs and hits leader. Atlanta has won three World Series in 1995 against the Cleveland Indians, 1957 against the New York Yankees, and 1914 against the Philadelphia Athletics. They ended their 2013 season with a 96-66 record. They placed 3rd in the power rankings and 1st in the East Division.
